Oshun is born from a desire to address the systemic inequalities prevalent in the creative industry.

Formed in university, Arnetia launched Oshun Magazine as her passion project in 2016, connecting with upcoming creatives across the globe. Oshun celebrates the best the creative industry has to offer while nurturing the next generation of creatives.

"My motivation stems from the belief that talented artists and underrepresented voices, especially those who are at the beginning of their careers or those who haven’t gained the visibility and recognition they deserve, should have access to a platform to share their creativity with the world”, Arnetia says. “I want to challenge the status quo of the industry, which often prioritises mainstream narratives."

Oshun: “A spirit that reflects one of the manifestations of God. Oshun is a deity of the river and fresh water, luxury and pleasure, sexuality and fertility, and beauty and love. She is connected to destiny and deviation.”
