PFW: WEINSANTO SS24
Perfect Day, WEINSANTO’s SS24 collection, is inspired by the designers mood – romantic and cold. Reinterpreting Weinsanto’s wedding gowns, made of destroyed denim, embroidered lace with scalloped edges, all from Nona Source, LVMH backed platform that provides creatives with circular materials, as well as Swarovski pearls for the brand’s famously oversized accessories and couture looks. Stilettos, sling backs and platform heels in nudes, canary yellow and shades of pink and red by Christian Louboutin finish the looks. The colour palette for this SS24 collection is soft: camel, white and beige with some touches of black, deep green and raspberry.
Daywear essentials feature throughout the collection. Couture essence elevates the evening looks with a selection of bustier corset tops matched with boyish oversized pants or pants corseted at the hips. The corsetry, a technique favoured by the designer, and a staple of the house is another common thread in this collection, present also in the couture looks, with a powerful and protective “vase dress”, constructed as a full body corset and made with crin and inserted pot-pourri petals. A romantic and ethereal nymph silhouette that closes the show on an optimistic note.
This collection’s moto is the French expression ‘Mariage pluvieux, marriage heureux' which translates to ‘Rainy wedding, happy marriage”. In the end, a “Perfect day” is a journey towards growth. A way of looking at life’s situations, from its special occasions to everyday, taking it with a mixture of gravity and lightness but always with hope.
