MFW: CARNET-ARCHIVE AW24
CARNET-ARCHIVE's AW24 TRACES/2 collection is an extension of its previous season, delving deeper into the same theme. Inspired by traces between creation and collapse, TRACES is designed with influences from the dismantling of the city, alleyways and ruined structures, drawing inspiration from aged and worn elements. The combination of colours and textures felt on the weathered walls of a city's old facades are directly manifested in the collection. This season uses a broader craft approach, destructing internally developed fabrics to expose their interiors. The collection features the brand's distinctive dyeing techniques, portraying frozen rusty walls.
Hand-patched knitwear creates a tactile element reminiscent of fading and peeling plaster walls. As time passes and the city's layers shed, the collection expresses deconstruction and three-dimensional structural approaches. It merges rider looks and classic tailoring with the structural deconstructionist philosophy of CARNET-ARCHIVE. TRACES/2 is a genderless collection, breaking free from constraints of body, race, and gender through structural silhouettes. This season, the exploration of women's clothing is deepened by harmonizing loose genderless outerwear with feminine silhouettes.
