NYFW: Rentrayage SS24
This season, Rentrayage explores a blend of elements, including ethereal floating florals, timeless shirting, menswear-inspired jacquards, and exquisite vintage embroideries. The collection combines the brand's trademark sourcing of deadstock materials from Italy and the artistry of Peruvian artisans who crafted intricate knits. Additionally, it features a selection of carefully curated vintage finds from the East Coast. Erin Beatty, the designer behind Rentrayage, presented her SS24 collection in collaboration with abc carpet & home, at their flagship in Manhattan.
Composed of 25 distinct styles, Rentrayage's SS24 collection builds upon its signature denim pieces while placing a significant emphasis on essential shirting and outerwear. Rentrayage has always embodied a broader concept of creating beautiful things beautifully. SS24 tells stories and provokes questions, challenging the notion of how to find freshness in what already exists. In this pursuit, fashion and home design converge, resulting in a palette of colours that is bold and romantic, silhouttes that are sharp yet unexpected, and juxtapositions that consistently surprise and excite.
The collection brings together the world of home design with everything the brand has achieved in fashion, offering a fresh perspective on the ordinary to make it extraordinary.
"We turned our attention to tailoring, drawing inspiration from menswear, the 70s aesthetic, and, of course, vintage fashion. Our goal was to establish a dialogue between modern sharpness and vintage elements, juxtaposing vintage embroideries with crisp fabrics and contemporary cuts. The collection reflects our exploration of transforming the old into something not just new, but refreshingly fresh. It's about moving toward the future", Erin Beatty says.
